Custom Camera Service

DVS cameras are designed, developed and manufactured in the United Kingdom under the control of our team of experienced engineers and scientists. This experience and manufacturing expertise is also available to our customers via our custom camera service. Our team is able to offer to either adapt one of our standard cameras or design and develop a new camera to meet specific customer requirements.
The following are just a few of the cameras that have been developed for those customers using this service.

Air

Intensified Camera General Surveillance Developed to meet a customer specific requirement for an intensified camera for 24 hour use. The camera is a compact device measuring 50mm wide x 50mm deep x 74mm long and provides a high resolution image of 1392x1040 via a FireWire interface.
Pilots Camera Developed to meet the requirement of fast jet applications. The camera is small, low powered, and includes gas ejection for the safe removal of the camera from the helmet during emergency ejections.
EMCCD Camera Based on our standard DVS 24/1000 camera, this version was developed to meet customer specific, extended, operational temperature range of -50°C to +80°C.

Ground

Intensified Camera Developed for use in a specific space envelope but still required to meet the normal defence standard parameters.
Based on our standard MICCD camera, this adaptation was developed to meet customer specific temperature requirements. Required image stability over a wide temperature range.

Sea

Based on our standard EMCCD 24/1000 camera this version was adapted to meet very stringent shock requirements, as well as incorporating a download interface to enable the user to modify the camera’s hard coded operating parameters to meet changing operational conditions.
